Dear Parents,
We have come to another week. I hope you are enjoying the weather and making sure your children are comfortable in the cold. We are continuing with our box study and still have a lot to accomplish. This week we are talking about different shapes of boxes, and how to use shapes to build a house. Please talk with your child about this topic so they can relate back to us during morning meetings. We are using vocabulary words such as ( storage, clothes, food, boxes, tape, glue). Please continue to work on your project as time approaches.
As we study boxes we will learn concepts and skills related to language and Literacy, Math, Science, Social Studies, Art and Technology. We will develop thinking skills as we explore, investigate, and ask questions. We are asking parents to help us at home by talking with your child about boxes (what we can do with boxes, what it is used for, and why we recycle boxes). There is so much we can do at home with our children when learning about their study. If there is a parent who works with boxes such as delivery person, factory worker etc. we would love for you to come in and give a talk to the students about your job.
Please if you would like to receive information about St Brendan Kindergarten for September please let me know with a yes or no response by December 4.
Thank you all and looking forward to another great week!!
